Espen og Saman tråkker over gamle ølflasker som vitner om at selv i ulent, gjengrodd terreng finner folk frem hit for å feste i vestlandsnaturen. Vi har sjø og vann på den ene siden og bratte fjellskrenter på den andre.\u003c/p>\u003cp>Hvor mye kan man lese ut av en fjellvegg?\u003c/p>\u003cp>– Ganske mye. Det er sprekkene som er mest interessante. Retningen på dem og hvor markerte de er, forklarer Espen. \u003c/p>\u003cp>– Når du har en veldig stor skråning, er noe av utfordringen å få oversikt. Det kan potensielt være steinsprang, flomskred og snøskred i en og samme skråning. Da bruker vi gjerne drone for å få oversikt, og for å se hvor i fjellet de ulike prosessene skjer. Vi ser etter typiske bratte klipper og skrenter hvor det kan løsne steinsprang og snøskred, og etter spor av tidligere skred. Nå sitter prosjektet igjen med to gang- og sykkelveialternativer som skal detaljeres videre. Det ene alternativet ser på om man i fremtiden kan kombinere lokalveitrafikk med myke trafikanter. Men langs de gamle sporene ligger potensiale for en enda større visjon. Det andre alternativet er en «historisk» løsning som byr på mange spennende muligheter utover selve transportdelen.\u003c/p>\u003ch3>\u003cstrong>Visjonen\u003c/strong>\u003c/h3>\u003cp>Se det for deg: Spente turister i Bergen sentrum hopper på den ventende veteranbussen som tar dem med til veterantogbanen Vossebanen på Midthun stasjon. Herfra tøffer toget til Trengereid. I stasjonsbygningen venter en lunsjservering og en lokalhistorisk fortellerstund. Etter maten står sykler klare til de reisende, som tråkker videre østover på en godt skiltet og tilrettelagt jernbanehistorisk opplevelsesvei. I Vaksdal tar de en rast, og stikker kanskje innom den lokale kjøpmannen før de igjen bestiger sykkelen og fortsetter videre til Stanghelle. Her ligger en veteranbåt og venter på sykkelgruppen.
